Penn State Policies Updates

Policy AD83 has been edited to add Chief Executive Officer of Ben Franklin Technology Partners for Northern and Central Pennsylvania to the list of University Officials.

Effective June 8, 2018

SY45 Use of Unmanned Aircraft (UA) was rewritten to reflect current regulations.  UA Operations are now permitted University-wide but must be conducted in accordance with the applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as the University’s UA Operations Manual.  The policy covers all persons wishing to operate UA for PSU-affiliated activity and includes operations over University property and over property not owned by the University.  The policy change includes new sections: requirements for all operations of UA, exceptions, responsibilities, and noncompliance.  The policy also desig

Policy AD95 has been updated to include definition of Security Incidents and language pertaining to Reporting a Security Incident.

Policy AD53 has been updated to include incorporating a Standard, the adoption of the Privacy Principles, updates to language on PII scanning, addition of sections on Implementation and Exceptions and Policy Violations, and retiring ADG08.

Policy AD14 has been moved to the Academic Policies category--AC14 Academic Administrative Evaluation.

Policy AD54 has been revised to include updates regarding the new Penn State brand standards, the new University mark and accessibility.

Effective: April 16, 2018

Policy AD35 has been revised to reference the security classifications in AD95. Records falling under the moderate restriction must now be shredded. The definition of Public Records has been removed, and language referencing vital records has been updated to essential records. The process for the University Archives to open high and restricted collections to researchers has been revised. Attachment A-University Records FAQ is now located on Records Managements website.
